Summer Solstice Festival in Johnson City, TN

Come enjoy a Celtic summer tradition and hear Wild Blue Yonder perform authentic Celtic and Appalachian songs at the Summer Solstice Festival in Johnson City on June 22. WBY WILL PLAY TWO SETS in the barn area: ONE AT 12:00PM AND ANOTHER AT 3:00PM. Whistles, flute, mandolin, banjo, guitar and vocals! Beautiful setting at Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site. The festival also runs June 23 and features various live music, food, highland games, combat tournaments and more. Activities for the kids include story time and a costume contest. Sponsored and hosted by Appalachian Highland Celts. The Watauga Historical Association will also be on hand for genealogy assistance and Everblade Academy will be hosting a spear and shield tournament on Saturday.
